Falling in and out

You are the ray of my day The moon of my nights The bamboo of my flute The minutes of my time You are the flowers in my spring The leaves in my autumn The snow in my winter Well… Errrmmm.. You are also my sweat in the summers The ads between my shows The fog when I drive And yes! The owls when I sleep The landslide when I trek That cluster of dirt on the shores Clobber along the waves and reach my toes You are the violinist when Rome burns My speed breaker at every turn The mold in my only piece of bread What would you be thinking about me? I know you won’t care Or...you might still remember me The memories we made The struggles we wade The nights of unrest Of passion, of lust, Then of tears with regret Also in absence, of hate But haven’t we been there Or have we not? Has it faded, or Has it deluded? Have you fluttered away From the abode of my kind? Or are you trickling down Slowly melting away Like the flakes of w...

In quest of...

The time was lonely, while my day cast stars stars, unseen by the night. I was howling through the bamboo, rustling onto the leaves stifling from the beggar's yawn and  roaring into the tide. yet I was with none but me in wanderlust, in quest of glee. I was caressing the ripples of the lake glimmering through the creak of a door shimmering onto the mirror that held a smiling face ablaze on the heated coarse sand. yet I was with none but me in wanderlust, in quest of glee. I was meditating upon the shambles of soil casting colour onto the solemn' main  setting destinations for their wings to flap cleaving between day and night. yet I was with none but me in wanderlust, in quest of glee. I was coarse yet firm, bore their footsteps without frown held their roots to my bosom nurturing them to shoot and blossom. yet I was with none but me in wanderlust, in quest of glee. I was told, here is glee. I am here to...

Beyond pleasure...

What do thee tell me, lord from all the archaic creations of yore? Which remain afresh with time not fade away, in rhyme, The arching heap which binds my gaze, the swooning speck which sweeps my pace, the flowing frill which I get to drench and the cooling breeze which touches my soul Are all your children  the thousands you behold, here to put me on hold? The blinding shine that makes me daze the rooted spine which calls my gaze The twitter that eases my groove the shingles that make up my roof Are they all true  to extend a hand  to help me cling to my gossamer? As I drench in the pleasures of your shore Topple down into the tides of bond Sail onto the miseries that rave, I beseech you  to pour down harmony,  not pleasure, to distract me away from the daze,  not bind me into bond, to shower down the light, not confine me to a shade, to enlighten my soul, not to tie it to...

Breaking free

Endless storm brushes me past never leaves me alone with my hair pricking my face  like pine Rains pound onto my body making it shiver my body gleams silver when the silky glow pounds my skin Suddenly, there is a heavy swirl of pearl white snow slithering onto me I shudder Ringlets of heat rays gorge on my face quenching its thirst leaving me parched Stillness conquers engulfing my present meditating upon my mind that swirls like sand storm I stand there facing all at once with a ringlet of fire seemingly comforting fixated around my middle Like the ever changing arena my desires never cling but grow and shirnk change form They laugh at me with malice upon my fickleness on being futile, indesicive cringe me into pulp shatter into pieces strangle into dead meat devour my senses and grin with contempt I am torn inbetween them the desire to move yet to stay the desir...

Another day

I spread out in peace, basking under the generous ray, that lights my world to sweat. I lie down on a pile of fragility just like my journey under the yonder, shattered yet ploughing through. The green shelter upon my head, is my faithful company every noon, after the sumptuous meal I digest. Though with crevices, a thousand, darkens my day, soothes my tanned cloak. Ah! the appalling breeze, at these fantasy glassed shops, tantalizes my spirits to work hard. Yet I get, the hot wind , sprawling through the naked streets, parching my throat off my last quench. After the short nap, I waddle onto the deranged streets, pedalling hard among the buzz to bring to an end, another day of struggle, to wrap and shelter, to quench and nurture. Magnificence in perfection!

I have something to tell you when you glade through the wondrous yonder strewn with shining speckles I have something to tell you when you glide through the deepening waves as they delve toward the main I have something to tell you when you rot and drop down from the abode of your kin I have something to tell you when you slither onto the coarse sand into the world underneath. I have something to tell you when you bask under the shine as you munch stacks of gold. I have to tell you something as you guffaw in delirious tones when the silver ball rises into the dark I have something to tell you as you swiften gracefully with your magnificent feathers arched wide I have something to tell you when you hop into your tiny hole with your furry paws in fear I have something to tell you as you open into your world afresh every day as you wake up from your slumber. Yes, You! I have something tell you all, that no ...

The lantern of hope

I wake abruptly, from the dream boat, to the seizing now. She stood there staring at me darkness resonating from inside I sat perplexed dazed by the sudden turn She waged into me, the dark pounding onto my inner the child-like dream shattering into shimmer and all I have is her She pounced into my brain drinking into my thoughts giving me the last laugh she dwells into my heart after she rides down my gut strangling my breath she is vile an insurmountable power which rides my back agony thunders into my being I sat there in the lone hell with lustrous tear drops smattering like mid-sea pearls They smack onto me I know they are full full with sadness full with defeat a million tears in heartbreak a million before suicide a million in hell and a million to be alone. My tears of frustration roll down and pound my cheek blending in the river of misery My soul has darkened My eyes pale my ears...

A jungle of hell

I lost my way in the woods, there is no sunshine to caress, no rain to melt with, no green to rejoice in, yet a jungle. I lost my way in the woods, with no guffaws of the hyenas, no chatter of the monkeys, or the roars of a lion, yet a jungle. I lost my way in the woods, with no pearly falls from the mountain, no mountain at all, no chilling breeze cutting through my sweat, yet a jungle. I lost my way in the woods, with not the music of the bamboos, not the trot of a deary deer, nor the melody of a cuckoo, yet a jungle. I lost my way in the woods, with not the hunters killing for food, with not the saw men cutting for good, nor their intent very pure, yet a jungle. I lost my way in this wood, where there are concrete all around, bricks that overlay the fertile land, gummy tar that nullifies the greens of the ancient past, yet a jungle. I lost my way in this wood, where there is no land to plough, no soil to seed, no shoots to water, yet food ...

waking up..

One tiny ray of the boundless star, peeped through the curtains, into my room, I curled up beneath my blanket, arching my spine to a bend. The sparrow on the banyan tree, had flown down to my sill, it resounded a shrill call and looked in, to find me rolling on my soft crib. The heavy breeze of the morning tides, rushed through my window, to pat me to wake, I covered my face with my arms. My mom's prayer bells, gonged with its metalic song, thronging into my ears, I used a pillow to cover them all. As I was happy in sleep, having surpassed all the calls, my alarm screeched its gut out, panicking me wide awake into the dawn.

The rights of the silenced

What happens, in the winning of a conquest? What dwells in the victory of a name, over the bloodied mutilations of your men? The silence of a cut-throat, staggering past the bombed, in anticipation of a blast or a bullet, or blazing fires in the camp of the wounded, The pain of a blasted lith, it's owner shedding tears of dread, of his unthinkable morrow, overcast with sorrow, The fear of a suicide bomber, prepared for his plight, for you to fight for his rights, after his body lies in a shamble, The darkness of the blinded, because of chemical components overturning their vision of truth into the prison of the dark, The sagacious fear in me, of your children's minds, that shine pure, because of your lure, may not endure your crude intent, "What do you gain, of their fear, the dark and their pain? What do you conquer, the rights of the silenced?" *Dust thou art and, *unto dust thou shall return, with your name, fame and glory, wi...

Remorse

I am underneath a mountain of deeds, heavy and with grime it is, insects teetering  on it with their antlers held high. There is a little gleam of the jubiliant sun, hard on the plains, but never seeming to look at me. ever glowing like the fireball of faith. Not able to put down the mountain, Not able to enjoy the sun, I am, Not able to rid the insects that scurry into me. As time passes by, the mountain arches high, burdening me down into the earthen plains. The beings I meet, heap more trash onto it, they ride down with their valleys, after a maniacal laugh. they riot into my life, plunging deep into me, bringing the thousand insects in me into light. while their's crawl right onto their faces. The song-like breeze riding gently on the plains, pat me to a smile, dampening my woes. While I plunder into my thoughts, beseeching for the lost memory in time, I find nothingness, sheer nullity. My happiness is lost in mere faith of seeing light, th...

Hairy Dreams : My entry for the Gillette 'Divine is You' Contest

This post is a part of the Gillette Satin Care contest in association with BlogAdda.com She was with him in the moonlit shore and the ruffling waves. Looking into the faces of one another, they were engrossed in love. When she drifted her gaze to the sand castles he had made for her, she felt her happiness brimming and it outshone in her face through her wide smile. He gently caressed her cheeks with his masculine hands, warm and soulful was his touch, when her arms met his to hold, "Scrunnnnch" it rubbed on his, hairy, rough and barely fluff it was, he took away his hands with an awkward smile. Hairy hands don't work when in love, I WISH I HAD OPTED FOR MY HAIR REMOVAL, NOW , Oh, Gillette! Where are you my love? You save my day with your smooth blades, they penetrate through my hairy arms, make them soft and give them charm!

An ode to my creator

Wonder of wonders lies in here, every creation profound and unique, I admire God in his own, beautiful way, for it is his creations that I ponder about every moment. The water serene and flowing, with its tiny ever-altering ripples, thin as air and cool as snow, created by the ardent scientist of an unborn past.  The greenest blade of grass, shooting up from nowhere in the wet soil, with it's thousand little creases, stunningly done by the loveliest child in heaven.  The sky , where it ends, ever a mystery, with its blend of a thousand colours, and holding sheep like furry white clouds, painted with the perfect hands of a thriving artist.  The jubilant sun, with its infinite rays of heat, scorching earth, like the nearest glowing candle, which melts down as the night arrives, and gives room for darkness to surround, is lit with love by the caring mother.  The leaves with its thousand nerves, tender green, soft as the velvet and perfect...

At the very end.

I was sitting on the cemented wall, painted white and dirtied brown. I had a friend by my side, but nothing to talk. I was staring into the clear blue sky, down to the muddy floor without anything to do, when I saw her shed the golden shower. She was a little far away from where I was, I pointed her to my friend but she wasn't observant, She stood there strong without any nerves, she was opaque and a true lover of the sun, she shed out the shower of gold with astounding grace, They were falling down one by one and altogether, they danced happily while having their fall, to be fossilised into the soil, to be stamped dead by the passersby Bliss and peace filled into their moves, which stirred the air with twirls and waves, they gleamed gold, red and green, they twirled round and round towards their fairy feme. They were all over the air, filling the place with their amusing embrace, some of the yellowed clinged to her arms, unwilling to ...

A mourning poem about Prim (Hunger Games special)

It was one lovely time, the time when sunshine caressed my face with a friendly ray and dried leaves played longingly under my feet. I had a smile which spread forever, I had a smile deep rooted within my heart, the warmth and hope that prolonged from within the organ beneath my ribs. That time when I had a pair of little and soft hands to hold on to me tight, finges entwined into one another. That lovely bud of rose which bloomed hearing the miner's lost songs of "the hanging tree" and the healer's hands crushing leaves to let into the mouth of the ill and striken. The hybrid rose which strikes terror into my being, haunts my sleep and taunts with the unstricken arrow. That silver splay of hope which spread from the hover craft, that pearly bane which spread onto the innocent child's hands, that which used to spread hope of bread and medicine in the arena, that which contained the little bundle of distress, licked my body wi...

Freedom on tenterhooks

The winds howled like the midnight street dogs While the moist air caressed my cheeks,  It cooled my brow, brought me back to the then.  Lying on the stony pillow, I was, My balcony wide open, lending my privacy to anyone passing by,  Did I at the least care, ironically not.  Back from a long lost reality, I was, The time when I had found innocence in every child’s smile, Truth in every friend’s word, A blend of passion and talent in every artist’s hand, Bountiful faith in every theist’s eyes, There were green, brown and the transparent,  Boundless and not possessed they were, The unclaimed lands of a generous king.  They replenished and were so.  It loomed on me, they barely exist, And in the turbulent present, They dissolved like snow under sun, The chill lasting longer in memory. Rather there is, brimming coffers behind the artist’s success, Greed and uncouth desire in many theists’ eyes, The ghosts of innocence in the c...

I sit there...

Feeling the fresh brown dust on my feet, listening to the screeches of the tawny owl, and the rustling noise from the lonely bats' wings, seeing the yellow leaves succeeding one another, looking at the blue, blue sky with rare snowy clouds, and diamond like stars twinkling in the moonless sky. breezy winds smashing onto my face, and rustling my greasy black hair. The smell of moist mud and the green crickets, though my nostrils, filling into my lungs, my breath long and heavy, I take into me, also with the fragrance of the evening flowers.  sensing the falling waters nearby, sensing the freshness of the fall through my skin, listening, observing around me the serenity of the bounty, the abundance of whom they call the almighty, feeling, drenching and seeing the denseness around, sighting the verity within resembling the outside. I sit there in my dreams, unassuming, I sit there for a long time without my intervening thoughts, I sit there blank as a white she...

The invisible woman

She is still there, staring into the wide navy blanket, with diamond stones strewn all over, she sits there with widened eyes moist with pearly tears, lips dry and speechless she is,staring into nothing, that rules everything underneath. She slowly walks out into the sandy shores, she rattles the waves with her tremendous arms, but straightens herself on seeing the silvery bliss, the silvery bliss pouring out from the huge hole in the nightly spread, the pathway to heaven, welcoming her into innocence. She ignores the rare invite and drowns herself into the joyous cloak of transparency, though a bit salty, she plunges fathoms deep into the solemn main, and rolls herself onto the coarse shores of powdered gold, thus she brings the shores in communion with frivolity. She leaves them behind just to dance with the denser green, she rocks forward and back, shaking off the heart of every man in there, their hearts fall at her feet, in colours of green, yellow, red and b...

Romancing the rain

I was trodding in the pathway, lonely as my heart, murmuring to myself, my own thoughts, Autumn leaves were strewn and the floor was cold, the sky was pale like an old man's beard. The trees seemed dark in their own dream worlds, the breeze was mellow and fresh like pine. when I looked up to the sky surrounded by clouds, it seemed hazy and about to rain. True to my feelings, it started to pour, tiny drops at first, glistening like pearl, under the rarest rays of the young sun. Heavier it seemed to become, fatter drops of rain, drenching my soul, cold and refreshing, they fell on to my head, made their way from strands of black hair, to my chin like dusk. And suddenly they dropped, rapid with a heavy plonk, landed safely on to my clothes, soaking them with joy. From the sky they raced, more and more, heavier and heavier, happier and happier, millions fell to the ground forming tiny puddles, many on the trees, on the lonely bench, on the electric wires, and a f...
